Highlanders beat Miracles at Centre 200

The Cape Breton Highlanders were back in action against the Moncton Miracles at Centre 200 for the National Basketball League of Canada’s 1,000th game played in the league.
The Miracles started off strong, leading the Highlanders 66-50 going into the half. Highlanders picked up their game in the third quarter to tighten up the score 86-84. In an intense back-and-forth fourth quarter, the Highlanders took the lead 90-86. The Miracles fought back hard to take the lead back 100-99 with less than five minutes left on the clock. The crowd remained on their feet as the Highlanders fought hard to win the game 107-103.
Chad Frazier led the Highlanders with 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 10 assists. Booker Woodfox nailed 18 point and 4 assists. Charles Mann Jr. scored 17 points. Anthony Walker added 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Malik Story led the Miracles with 20 points. Brandan Kearney scored 17 points. Tim Mitchell picked up 11 rebounds.
This is an important win for the Highlanders. It is the first game in many weeks where are 12 players were on the roster and the Highlander are fighting for the same playoff spot with the Miracles.
The Cape Breton Highlanders are back at Centre 200 Saturday, March 18th for Shine The Light On Woman Abuse in partnership with the Cape Breton Transition House. Fans are encouraged to wear purple and arrive at the game at 6:30pm for the pregame activities.
