Titans squeak by Riptide, 92-90

The KW Titans extended their win streak to three games with a narrow 92-90 victory over the visiting Saint John Riptide at The Aud on Saturday night.
Flenard Williams recorded 21 points and nine rebounds to propel the Titans, while Saint John's Anthony Anderson led all players with 24 points. Anderson also had a game-high seven assists and his teammate Olumuyiwa Famutimi topped the boxscore with 11 boards.
The score differential was four points or less at the conclusion of each quarter. KW led 24-20 after 12 minutes before the Riptide clawed back to level the score 42-42 at halftime. The Titans were ahead 68-64 to start the fourth.
KW shot just 35.6% from the field, compared to 42.2 for Saint John, but held a significant edge in both three-pointers made (11-6) and free-throws converted (17-8).
Next up for the Titans is a battle with the first-place London Lightning, 2 p.m. Sunday at The Aud. Saint John is off until Wednesday when it hosts the Island Storm.
