Lightning come out on top against Titans, 99-91

Released: April 19, 2017
By: London Lightning Media

(LONDON, ONTARIO) – The London Lightning are chasing down another record after their 99-91 win over the KW Titans Wednesday night.
Marvin Phillips led the way with 16 points as the Lightning won their fifth in a row.
With just three games to go, the Lightning could best their record from 2012-13, when they went 33-7. They currently sit at 31-5, tops in the league.
Coach Kyle Julius said that the pace of their game was a matter of momentum not swinging their way.
“The problem is that a lot of our guys get their energy from making shots. So tonight, absolutely none were going,” he said. “We outrebounded them and I feel like we won the loose ball battles in the fourth quarter. So if you’re not making shots and you win loose ball battles and you rebound, you give yourself a chance at least.”
The Lightning next take on the Express in Windsor on Sunday afternoon. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
The Lightning’s next home game is Tuesday, April 25 against the Island Storm. Tickets are available through the Budweiser Gardens Box Office.
