(BELLE RIVER, ONTARIO) – The London Lightning stampeded towards a big 122-97 victory in Game 3 of their seven game series with the Windsor Express. The win gives London a 3-0 lead in the series.
The first half had a hectic pace, as both teams spent the first quarter battling for baskets. Ryan Anderson had 14 points in the first quarter, drilling some deep threes. The score was tight at the end of the first, but London began to pull ahead in the second. After some tough baskets on the inside for Royce White, Windsor couldn't keep up, giving London a 61-43 lead heading into the half.
London continued to pull away from the Express in the second half, as the Express didn't have any answers for the relentless Lightning strikes. London closed the game by scoring 32 points in the fourth quarter, propelling them to a 122-97 victory.
“We’ve been working hard the last 48 hours. We stuck to the game plan in the first half, but I think the way we played in the third quarter is a testament to how hard we have been working” said Julius.
Royce White led the way with 24 points and 14 rebounds. Ryan Anderson also chipped in with 21 points.
“Tonight was the first time we put it all together, offensively and defensively. We’re finding each other and the shots are dropping,” said Anderson.
The Lightning are back in Windsor for Game 4 at the Atlas Tube Centre. You can watch the game over the livestream, or follow along with the London Lightning Twitter account.
