The Storm has invited all Island farmers and fishers to attend its home games next weekend, free of charge.
On Friday, April 8th farmers will receive free entry when the Storm battles the Moncton Miracles, on Saturday, April 9th it will be the fishers turn as the London Lightning are in town.
“Agriculture and fishing is the backbone of our Island,” said Storm owner Duncan Shaw. “An opportunity to give back to these very deserving individuals presented itself and we’re thrilled that its come to fruition.”
Farmers and fishers who can identify themselves as such, through government cards, paperwork, bills, ect., will receive a complementary adult bowl ticket to the game.
The Storm is thrilled to partner with the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries on this to raise more awareness of the game.
“I want to commend all farmers and fishers for their invaluable contribution to our culture and economy. Our primary industries are at the root of who we are as Islanders and I commend the hard work they carry out in their respective sectors,” said Alan McIsaac, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries.
